
Ustina Dubitsky is currently the assistant conductor of François-Xavier Roth with the Gürzenich Orchester Köln and of Jean-François Verdier with the Orchestre Victor Hugo Franche-Comté. In March 2022 she won the orchestra prize in the conducting competition La Maestra and is a fellowship holder of the La Maestra Academy. She participated also in the 57th conducting competition in Besançon in September 2021.
After the competitions she was invited to work with orchestras such as Orchestre de Paris, Dresdner Philharmonie or Orchestre National de Metz. She also has been assisting Maestro Roth in the new production of Lohengrin with the Bavarian State Opera in December 2022.
Dubitsky devoted herself to conducting in 2014.
She studied in Weimar and Zurich, her teachers were Johannes Schlaefli, Markus L. Frank, Gunther Kahlert and Nicolas Pasquet. Further impulses were given to her for example from Peter Eötvös, David Zinman and Paavo Järvi.
As part of her studies she's conducted the Jenaer Philharmonie, the Meininger Staatskapelle, the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, the Collegium Musicum Basel and the Musikkollegium Winterthur.
From October 2015 until July 2017 Dubitsky was the artistic leader of the Collegium Musicum Weimar, furthermore she was the artistic leader of the Chor der Volkshochschule Leipzig from January 2017 until June 2019. In 2018 /19 she was the fellowship holder of the conducting academy of the Bergische Symphoniker.
Ustina Dubitsky takes various possibilities to carry out her own projects as well, such as the live stream concert "Wie ich dich liebe" in July 2020 with musicians from the Gewandhausorchester.
